Submitting Resumes

1. What is AccessQuery

AccessQuery is a job listing provider that powers many job boards, much like the one that you were using prior to submitting a resume. AccessQuery provides a single-source for all of your resume and job searching needs by reaching out to a diverse group of affiliate job boards and content providers.

2. Is it safe?

AccessQuery respects your privacy and takes measures to protect it by using encryption technology. There is no 100% fool-proof technology, other than your own sneaker-net, to protect your personal data. At AccessQuery, though, we make sure that every measure available to us is being used to protect your interests. Only the employers to whom you are applying are able to read your resumes (and the technical staff at AccessQuery, who ensure your privacy).

3. What are these resume IDs?

When you submit a resume through the AccessQuery network, you will receive a letter in your email confirming the resume submission. In this letter you will find a reference to a Resume ID, which acts as the unique identifier for your resume submission. This submission is important because now you can re-submit that same resume to many employers without having to re-type it in. How does this help you? We update the format of your resume to meet the needs of the HR industry, such as converting it to the industry standard HR-XML format. By using your Resume ID, you are guaranteeing that your submission is being sent with the latest technology, thus making your resume matching with the job positions more accurate.

4. What is all of this cookie stuff?

To store information that can be re-used when you access the AccessQuery network, we have to take advantage of user-persistence technology called Cookies. These files are sent back to your browser after you submit data to us, and are stored in a temporary "Internet File" folder on your computer (each web browser stores cookies differently). We always expire our cookie data in 180 days, and encrypt all data stored on your computer. Cookies are only used to make your experience more efficient, yet they are not required. If you do not enable cookies in your browser, then you will have to re-enter your contact information each time you submit a resume.

5. Who should I contact?

If you are having problems with the resume submission or job searching, please contact AccessQuery directly at support@accessquery.com.  All other inquiries should be directed to the support email found on the web site where you found the job to which you are applying.
